Belleville and Wave Washers
Belleville springs or Belleville washers are commonly used throughout every industry. Sometimes called disc springs, Belleville washers are used to combat relations of bolted joints and to keep bolts and fasteners in proper tension. Wave spring washers are also used in the same manner but create far less force. Wave washers are used for lower load situations or for split washer designs.
